DANIEL FRICKE
Filmmaker
Throughout his career Daniel Fricke has been involved in award-winning productions during his education. His unique sense for people and situations make him capture authentic moments on location. The raw material, which he creates, he completes at the editing room to exciting stories that remain in the memory and not just good only for television. He researches current topics which viewers interesting in and realize them in a small creative team.
Daniel Fricke started out as a trainee in the cutting room of the television series “Lindenstrasse” at Geißendörfer Film- und Fernsehproduktion in 1998. This was followed by an activity for the WDR series “Käpt`n Blaubär” in the area of script / continuity in close cooperation with the director.
From 2004 to 2007 he worked as an editor for the CBC Cologne Broadcast Center. This resulted in countless on air minutes focusing at editing, graphics animation, voice recordings, sound mixing and packaging of advertising trailers, news and magazines, talk shows, reports and documentaries.
Since 2007, he has been applying the many facets of his consistently practice-bound career as an independent filmmaker with an eye for economic implementation.
Among the first projects of his freelance work are cinematic portraits, music films, music videos, magazines and reports. This takes him across Germany, Europe to North Africa, South America and Australia.
Today it is – in addition to agencies and production companies – corporations such as Deutsche Telekom or Montblanc, public and private television stations, but also small factories and SMEs, as well as various authors who appreciate his work and publish. In the cultural field he works for the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn.
